New Feature: Drill Down Into Your AWS Cost With CloudForecast’s New Dashboard Tool

Here at CloudForecast, we’re constantly gathering product feedback from our customers. We love learning about their problems around AWS cost and figure out ways to build new AWS cost optimization features to help them save time and money. With that in mind, we reached out to our awesome customers after our last product sprint to ask what they would like next with CloudForecast. Through our conversations, we discovered that the majority wanted a simple way to get detailed analysis around their AWS bill.

Here are examples of questions they wanted answers to related to their AWS cost: Why was there a 900% increase in my S3 bucket cost yesterday? Was there something in my Amazon RDS that caused an increase of cost?

With the help of AWS Athena and QuickSight, we built a set of interactive billing dashboards to help you “drill-down” and help answer specific questions related to AWS cost before the monthly bill arrives.

Uncover Ways To Reduce AWS Cost

Dashboards right out of the box: We provide a set of black box dashboards that will cover the majority of AWS cost areas: Overall Cost, S3 buckets, EC2 instances, Amazon RDS, and Tags. There are no setup, time investment or additional configuration needed to start!

Drill-down with interactive graphs and charts: We give you the ability to drill-down into any charts or graphs so you can figure out the exact areas where there might be a cost increase. Hover over and click any elements in the graph or chart and you’ll be given a set of options to drill-down further.
