New Feature: Drill Down Into Your AWS Cost With CloudForecast's New Dashboard Tool
Here at CloudForecast, we’re constantly gathering product feedback from our customers. We love learning about their problems around AWS cost and figure out ways to build new AWS cost optimization features to help them save time and money. With that in mind, we reached out to our awesome customers after our last product sprint to ask what they would like next with CloudForecast. Through our conversations, we discovered that the majority wanted a simple way to get detailed analysis around their AWS bill.
Here are examples of questions they wanted answers to related to their AWS cost: Why was there a 900% increase in my S3 bucket cost yesterday? Was there something in my Amazon RDS that caused an increase of cost?
Uncover Ways To Reduce AWS Cost
Dashboards right out of the box: We provide a set of black box dashboards that will cover the majority of AWS cost areas: Overall Cost, S3 buckets, EC2 instances, Amazon RDS, and Tags. There are no setup, time investment or additional configuration needed to start!
Drill-down with interactive graphs and charts: We give you the ability to drill-down into any charts or graphs so you can figure out the exact areas where there might be a cost increase. Hover over and click any elements in the graph or chart and you’ll be given a set of options to drill-down further.
Included with all our plans: We hate nickeling and diming our users for every new feature we push out. Especially if we know this can bring you more value and will make your life easier. The dashboard tool is available for ALL our subscription plans starting today!
To learn more about this new feature, you can read more about it in our knowledgebase: Dashboard Tool. If you are a current customer or under a free trial, this tool is available for you today. Log in to your CloudForecast account and click dashboards on the top menu (you’ll also notice a new paint job with our UI!).

Curious with what we’re building next?
We’re working on a new feature called #ZeroWaste: This new feature will give you simple and actionable recommendations across Reserved Instances, Dynamo DB tables, EC2 Instances, Unattached EBS and other areas to help you save on your AWS bill.
