CloudForecast celebrates giving tuesday

For the 3rd year in a row, CloudForecast will donate a portion of our revenues to five 501(c)(3) non-profits for Giving Tuesday!

You can check out our past Giving Tuesdays here:

Life’s too short to only think about ourselves. Despite how challenging growing a bootstrapped startup can be, nothing is as challenging as growing up in an underserved community and not having the same opportunities as others.

We want CloudForecast’s purpose to not only be about helping our customers, but we also wish to have our purpose and values be about making an impact in our local communities with our time and money. Giving back and helping others gives us the most fulfillment as a company.

Below are the non-profits that were hand-picked by our team and their mission statement from their website:

Techqueria is a nonprofit that serves the largest global community of Latinx professionals in tech.

Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) on March 1st, 2019, Techqueria’s mission is to empower Latinx professionals with the resources and support that they need to further their careers and become leaders in the tech industry.

Techqueria has 18,000+ members and allies in their network and their online Slack community has 12,000+ members with nearly a quarter engaging on a weekly basis. To date the majority of our members have found themselves at a point in their careers where they are looking for growth opportunities through our community and a sense of belonging. As an organization, we make it our goal to serve all tech professionals throughout their career growth by offering community to all members, from marketing professionals to engineers. We are particularly interested in elevating the voices of these professionals to leadership roles within the tech space.

We empower Latinx leaders in tech nationally through support of local chapter initiatives, as well as digital members spread across the United States. We support career mentorships, development seminars and talks, as well as opportunities for tech professionals in similar careers to meet and share ideas and leverage each other’s expertise to solve problems.

Laboratoria & Parker Institute – Picked by Arturo

Laboratoria & parker institute - picked by arturo

Together, we are transforming Latin America’s tech sector and the lives of thousands of women in the region.

Our challenge
Due to deep-rooted gender stereotypes and socio-economic barriers, women in Latin America face obstacles that affect their educational and professional experiences. This causes women to be underrepresented in the workforce, especially in the tech sector, which creates a cost for women, economies, and society as a whole.

The opportunity
The digital economy is growing in Latin America, but to advance at scale and transform our economies and the gender gap, it is in desperate need of talent, particularly female talent. Laboratoria is a growing community with the power to transform the lives of women, the tech sector, and the economies of Latin America and beyond
